Split view for files?

A split view feature would be quite useful as it can allow you to both annotate while reading from another file, especially if it can support opening multiple filetypes simultaneously, i.e. split view between epub and pdf.

cross file types will be difficult as pdf and epub doesn't use a centralized render engine

Ahh, I see. Then maybe this can be implemented just for PDFs? Either the window can be split in 2 but I think a better solution will be to open another instance of a viewer (like how drive viewer can have multiple instances at once). That way managing windows can be left to android split screen feature.

Same file type will be just fine for me, within the app itself like Chromium's split view feature. Multi-windowing is a nightmare with Android's increasingly terrible resource management.

I forgot to mention this but please, a vertical split. That works better on non-fold phones.
