Bug: Unable to select multiple words or drag selection handles in ePub file

Describe the bug

When reading an ePub file on Android, I cannot select an entire sentence or multiple words. Long-pressing only highlights a single word, and the selection handles (markers) do not appear or allow me to drag them to extend the selection for copying or highlighting.
It happened to me in an arabic file

Steps to reproduce

1. Open any ePub file.
2. Long-press on a word to start selecting text.
3. Try to drag the handles to select a full sentence or multiple words.
4. Notice that it only selects one word and won't let you expand the selection.

Expected behavior

I should be able to drag the selection handles to highlight and copy multiple words, sentences, or paragraphs.

Environment

• Device: Android Smartphone (Samsung S21 fe)
• App Version: Latest mobile build
