Upgrading to latest version of slang (slang-2026.4.2) causes compile time error

Could you please check if you're using the same versions of dxc for compiling and running? Usually if you're developing on Windows, you'll have another dxc in Windows SDK. However, we'd recommend using the one installed by our Scripts/installExternals.py.

I will check but I mostly followed Scripts/installExternals.py, I modified it to use the latest version of slang i.e. slang-2026.4.2 and that is when I got the error, what will be best way for me to check if Aurora is using dxc from windows sdk or not?

Hello @adskWangl , I have verified that the generated vcproj has dxc & slangc path from the AuroraExternal folder. I don't think the error is due to dxc; the error stems from upgrading slang to 2026.4.2 in installExternals.py
