A Project To Keep track of tools | ToolEscry

A simple software to keep track of tools/items in our workspace.

It should be able to,

• Show the list of everything IN and OUT of the workshop
• Keep track of every items Current Position
• And Initial Position (aka where they are supposed to be)
• All this while also tracking Who did these changes* (like the person who moved/last used the item)

(And a lot more as we go)

Side-note

The word escry is an old English term meaning to catch sight of or to discover something that is distant or not immediately visible. By naming the software ToolEscry, the emphasis is on its purpose: to observe, track, and reveal the whereabouts and movements of tools within a workspace. Just as "escry" implies discerning something not immediately apparent, this software brings visibility to the tools' current and initial positions, as well as who last handled them.

So i was thinking of attaching a QR Code or Barcode to each item.. Which would be great if we start immediately..

Again a good thought. That makes it easy audit, that is verify stock of things once in a while
