Holding Ctrl is problematic

I'm not sure if this is just an issue for me, but pressing CTRL gives an error message, and doesn't enter the "new note" mode properly.

• Happened to @pettter under Linux.
• On macOS, there’s no crash but Ctrl + clic triggers the “right click menu”.

@pettter Can you remind me what is the use case that leads to having this keyboard shortcut? Is it still relevant?

We have:

• holding Ctrl to place a note: this one fails (on Linux);
• pressing x to enable/disable the “place a note” mode: this one works and is the same as hitting the “new note” button.

When we discussed, we picked . as replacement over Ctrl, but it’s already taken by “jump to previous draw context” (when several layers on screen). 🤔

I'd say it's handy and intuitive, but not essential.

Out-of-left-field thought: could the CR key work instead?
