We have recently published a new article titled "THUBreast: an open source breast phantom software for x-ray imaging and dosimetry". Here is the link: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1361-6560/ad2881. Notably, we used MCGPU software from this repository in our research.
MCGPU is very pleasant to use and easy to operate, and I believe it will become a very very popular tool for Monte Carlo simulation of X-ray imaging in the future.
