Legacy account required?

I might be wrong, but in the code I see the api calls are using the V1 API. This requires a legacy account on Oanda though, which cannot be created anymore. So now, when you create a new account, you must use the V20 API.

Also, I can't tell but I guess this error message is because of this issue:
order-api > [WARN] OandaAdapter: No heartbeat received from events stream for 20 seconds. Reconnecting.

Hi @StefSmeers thanks for pointing it out, thats correct:) It uses the old Oanda API because I personally still have one . Good that you noticed that you can't create the account anymore cause I didn't know that. But the plan is to move away from Oanda anyway, as it doesn't have much flexibility in there API like adding a magic number to orders, or crypto coins etc.. So I implemented CryptoCompare also in the last days.. Cleaned up master for a bit etc, as I'm the only working on it haha 💯 If you want, I can build an option where Oanda is disabled, so you would only see the crypto coins?

And while im on it, to tell you the truth, I'm stripping it down for now, wrapped cordova around it and leave the editor for what it is for now.. I will just launch it as a crypto / forex tracker where you can set 'alarms' on certain predefined 'events', like 24H price changes 5%, 10%, 20%, 50% sets of an alarm, and trigger a push message etc.. This way I can keep the backend 'tick' structure in place :) And just see how it wil go along the way I guess.

That's all fine. The reason I wanted to use TradeJS is to use Node.js for making an algorithmic trading script, because I am comfortable with Node.js and don't know much about forex trading yet. But there isn't a decent way to backtest using Node.js. So it doesn't really matter what currencies I am trading with, as long as I can do backtesting using Node.js.

But will the backtest tool still be available in the future when you stripped things down?

Also, if I can get it to work, I would be glad to contribute (in the first place on the design and afterwards, when I know more about trading, on the functionality as well). Because at the moment I can't even get past the login screen.

Lastly, it might be an idea to setup a slack channel for TradeJS which can be used by users and contributors.
(Then we also can talk in Dutch, which is easier) ;)
