Esri Hackathon for MAPSCorps: Telling a story with data using Story Maps

Esri Hackathon for MAPSCorps Monday, July 31st, 2017

Welcome Everyone! Today we get hands-on and follow the Data > Design > Develop pattern for building Story Maps. A Story Map is a web application built from one of the ArcGIS Story Map Templates. Before you can build an app, we need to design the maps that the story will talk about. And then before we can build maps, we need to assemble all of the data that we will need for visualization on the map.

1. Sign Up for a Free ArcGIS App Developer Subscription
2. Redeem your voucher for 1000 credits a. Go to developers.arcgis.com and login b. Click on your name in the upper right c. Click on "Redeem Voucher" in the drop down menu under your name d. Add "MAPSCORPS" to the voucher code input box, then click "Submit"
