Dear MoorDyn Community,

Almost one year ago I started asking questions in this chat. Now I present you my thesis on the modeling of a mussel line system in MoorDyn V2.

Now I can share it with you (if Github allows). I want to thank the active community for the help and insight they gave me. Through the sharing of my thesis I hope to give something back to the community.

These were the key elements of my research.

  1. A total overview on MoorDyn V2
  2. A study on the rod element and its usability as a buoy.
==> The rod element can not be used to model a spar buoy in waves
==> The rod element can be used to model a spar buoy in a current and its static state.
==> Within the code of the rod were discrepancies found
  3. Creation of methods to create the input files
