Calls from any Unknown callers do not appear in Call history

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Go to Call History
2. Look for calls from Unknown Callers

Expected behavior

When I receive calls from Unknown Callers the phone rings and I can answer the call. I expected the call to appear in Call History.

Actual behavior

Calls from any Unknown Callers do not appear in Call history at all. This applies to all such calls.

• By "unknown callers", do you mean numbers not in your contact list or calls from hidden/private numbers?
• Are those calls visible in your preinstalled system phone app?

I mean 'Unknown callers' (capitalised) as in 'hidden numbers'.

I don't have a system app for calls. The point of installing an alternative app was to replace the system app.

But another app that handles incoming calls ('Yet Another Call Blocker') shows them. In the meanwhile, I temporarily removed that other app to make sure it didn't interfere. That made no difference.

I cannot test hidden calls myself, so if anybody can confirm this behavior, please comment.

FYI, emergency calls don't work without the preinstalled phone app due to system restrictions.

I didn't know that. Thanks. Shouldn’t this be explained prominently and everywhere by Fossify and certainly on installation, rather than in the FAQ? This may be a life and death issue.

I enabled the preinstalled Phone app and removed most permissions, but I am not sure if there is a point to using an alternative app now. It even demands that I make it the default app (so I can't check if it can see hidden callers). I hope in an emergency it won't start displaying such messages.
