Description
Hi,
I'm trying to get CursorLens running locally, but I'm getting confused about what I need to do that.
- the docs here don't seem to match the UI I see in Cursor, perhaps these are outdate instructions? I'm saying that because I can enter a new model name, but no URL or API key
- I see a docker-compose file, but it's not mentioned in the docs. It also contains a reference to an ngrok auth token, but doesn't seem to be used anywhere. Do I need it? The detailed instructions don't use it.
- the detailed instructions state:
8 .Configure Cursor:
Open Cursor settings
Set the API endpoint to your ngrok URL
Set the toggle to use OpenAI Key on
I don't see such a toggle, and the only text input to enter an API endpoint is associated to OpenAI.
Most of the above seems like the consequences of Cursor changing their UI over time, making the docs slightly off. Is that correct?
But what is the most confusing to me is how a model is chosen, who (Cursor or CursorLens) should hold the API key, and whether we should always use the Open AI text input regardless of the model we want. I think this last bit might be correct, but it's never said explicitly.
I'd love to use this, please help this dummy!
Thanks,
Mikael
