BCIO tool
Hi BCIO team,
I'm writing to share a preprint that directly addresses the five sub-ontology modules currently marked as Coming Soon on bciosearch.org — Dose, Reach, Engagement, Fidelity, and Schedule.
DREFS: A Five-Module Gap-Analysis Codification Built on the BCIO
SSRN: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=6530319
What was done: All five Coming Soon modules have been operationalised through 260 module-level entries (224 unique IDs) with verified identifiers, definitions, and module-specific causal rationale:
- 209 entries drawn from existing BCIO-ecosystem terms (CROSS)
- 22 entries from ontologies officially imported into BCIO (GO, MF, MFOEM, ADDICTO, PDRO)
- 29 entries imported by the author from external ontologies (MeSH, GO, APA, iSci) to fill conceptual gaps where neither BCIO nor officially BCIO-imported ontologies provided a suitable identifier
The full machine-readable registry is available here:

I would welcome the team's assessment of the concept and any feedback — on the coverage of the five modules, the entry selection, the causal rationale, or the gap constructs that may warrant official BCIO identifiers.
Thank you for building and maintaining the BCIO under CC-BY-4.0.
