I know this is probably not the scope of this is project, but it certainly could be.
I have found this other project https://github.com/ReMinoer/SubSolution which takes a really nice approach, with an xml file right next to the solution + a Visual Studio Extension to detect changes in this file, rebuild the .sln, and reload it.
That project is really awesome but its capalities are somewhat limited when compared to this one. I suppose if we could make a similar VS extension for this project, it would be the best of both worlds: all the power of MSBuild to generate .sln files, and the ability to auto-reload the solution when any changes are made to the .slnproj.
