ReSending of confirmation mail #67

Description

From OSL:

In the current user account system, if the user fails to activate his/her account within the timespan of 24hrs, that username could not be used anymore. A solution to this will be allowing the user to send a confirmation mail to his/her account once in every 24hrs, if the account is not active.

That sounds particularly annoying to me - particularly since a person can put anyone's e-mail into the PGD. We don't want to provide a tool where people can spam their enemy. I think the PDG should send one or two messages and then expire the request for an account. If a person doesn't respond in a couple days it is not too onerous to ask them to start over.

Or change the activation period to one week and delete that particular user from the database ?

Sounds good to me. Anything to avoid an onslaught of e-mails that cannot be turned off.
