Pinned toolbar keys are hidden everywhere when the toolbar is expanded.

Describe the bug
Pinned toolbar keys aren't pinned. Cannot retain pinned keys always on with any configuration.

To Reproduce
Keeping split toolbar turned off, pin some keys to toolbar. When the toolbar is shown, pinned keys are replaced by empty space. Adding or removing the same keys to the regular toolbar doesn't fix that, and a key is not shown in the regular toolbar if it's in also pinned.

Expected behavior
Pinned toolbar keys should always be available. Heliboard also hides the pinned keys when the toolbar is shown, whether or not it's in the regular toolbar, but it is possible to add the pinned keys to the regular toolbar to always have those keys available.

App version
3.7.5 release.

Let me explain why it's a downgrade.

There are 2 key lists. One for expanded toolbar, one for pinned toolbar keys. The keyboard only shows one of these key lists, for both Heliboard and LeanType. So there are two types of views:

• Expanded toolbar without pinned keys.
• Word suggestions with pinned keys.

So the keys are never repeated. Instead, in Heliboard, I have the option to have a key:

• Only appear in pinned toolbar list next to word suggestions.
• Only appear in expanded toolbar list.
• Appear in both lists.

I don't have the last option in LeanType. If a key is enabled only for toolbar, it works as expected. If it's only enabled for pinned key list, it works as expected. But if I enable it for both lists, I don't see the key in expanded toolbar view, and since expanded toolbar also disables pinned keys, it isn't shown anywhere in that state.

If it's still hard to grasp I can provide screenshots.

as i mentioned already i get what you are saying but i don't get the scenario which keys appearing on both is useful, and i think there is no option in hiding pinned keys on expanded toolbar in heliboard that why i added that as an feature, correct me if i am wrong

In Heliboard, pinned keys are auto-hidden when the toolbar keys are expanded, so it works as completely independent key lists for Heliboard. I can choose to have keys in one or both lists. In LeanType, I am forced to lose the option to have a key appear both when the toolbar is expanded, and words are suggested.

The scenario for me is the settings key. I don't care if the toolbar is expanded or not, I want the settings to be always available. Now, I have to choose to have it only in one of the states.

Following are Heliboard toolbar screenshots for expanded and collapsed toolbar state. Notice the settings button is available in both case.

Following are LeanType screenshots, with the same configuration. Notice the settings key is missing in expanded toolbar view, despite it being enabled both as a pinned and regular toolbar key.

In Heliboard I have more options. I can enable or disable any key for both states separately, and the keys are never repeated. LeanType can't provide that. I don't see how that's a feature.

• the feature was added since i didn't want to waste space in expanded toolbar when its already having keys in pinned section, and i though that would be the common usability for everyone, but yes it removed the option to choose

• ill add an toggle to turn of that feature later
