HL2 Health/Energybar - more visibility

I love the NS2 Health- and Energybar as you see in the screenshot.

In order to make it visible I've changed my AV to be pretty dark.
But in general it would be helpful that I could somehow increase its visibility.
Like modifying a DDS File or just increasing the contrast or something.

So you want to be able to set custom base colors and alphas? Am I missing something else?

Maybe being able increase the bar's border width to make them stand out more could help as well.

I think bright might suffice as well... but in general it is hard to see through Alienvision. Borders alone would not help it

I modified the dds File to make it a bit more visible with a Mod (thx to Las for helping)

I'll experiment a bit to decrease the transparancy...
I wonder If that could be implemented in ns2+ if the graphic looks fine
