NethCTI server file upload for voicemail is accepted but not played by Asterisk #7846

Description

Steps to reproduce

  • Log in to CTI and open the Voicemail settings for extension e.g. 201.
  • Try to change the voicemail greeting/busy/unavailable by uploading an MP3 or WAV file.
  • Verify that the uploaded file is accepted and playable in CTI.
  • Call extension 201 and force the condition so the call is forwarded to voicemail.
  • Check that the message is not played and review the Asterisk logs.

Expected behavior
When uploading an audio file (MP3 or WAV) from CTI for the voicemail message, the system should properly convert/store it into a supported format and Asterisk should play it correctly when a call to the extension is busy.

Actual behavior

  • If the message is recorded directly from the phone, the audio is correctly saved and played by voicemail.
  • If the operation is done from CTI by uploading an MP3 or WAV file, the file is accepted and is playable in CTI; however, when calling the extension, the message is not played.
  • Asterisk logs show warnings related to WAV header parsing and missing audio file in a specific codec format:
[2026-01-28 15:51:54] WARNING[1713][C-0000000b]: format_wav.c:160 check_header: Does not begin with RIFF
[2026-01-28 15:51:54] WARNING[1713][C-0000000b]: file.c:510 fn_wrapper: Unable to open format wav
