The team’s purpose is to help the patient select a hospital based on their medical condition and personal information.

Three things I like:

1. The team selects the top factors: length of stay, medical diagnosis category, medical surgery types, hospital, service area, severity of illness and hospital county.
2. The team uses different models and get good accuracies.
3. The team evaluates the fairness by comparing age and gender.

Three potential improvements:

1. Maybe the team can use the results to build a recommendation system for the patients according to their needs/priorities.
2. The team focus on mood disorders and congestive heart failures. The team can generalize the model to other diseases and see if it still works.
3. The team realized the discrepancies between groups in section 6 and it will be more interesting if they can also provide a solution.
