Slow fargate launches affects UI and acceptance tests

Seems that Fargate launches have recently slowed down, pushing against responsiveness in media / timing imports and affecting. This is also causing timeouts in the CD acceptance tests.

Need to:

• track the slowdown and ameliorate it
• reenable the marked-as-pending acceptance tests.
