"Send Cal" button not responding

While the Send Cal button is enabling after a certain amount of calibration, pressing the button does not seem to be making the 'green checkmark' appear in the status circle. I've tried pressing it many many times.

I'm on Windows 10, using an LSM6DS3TR-C + LIS3MDL with an arduino uno. I'm super new to this stuff and mostly following tutorials to get up and running.

You are experiencing this because that button only works with Paul Stoffregen's Prop Shield for the Teensy: https://www.pjrc.com/store/prop_shield.html

Since you say you are using an Arduino Uno, that certainly explains why the button does not work for you. Instead, you will have to do as Adafruit's guide tells you and transcribe the values from MotionCal manually: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-sensorlab-magnetometer-calibration?view=all#step-2-upload-the-sensorlab-imucal-example-3053363
