Playing mission II of the Roman campaign. I recall the AI in the original game being pretty passive, being relatively slow to advance and not attacking until you attacked first. That is very much not the case now, as they launched a massive attack against me as soon as I was in range. It takes some of the fun out of it, as I kind of enjoy playing a cold war against the AI and only attacking when I've built up a strong enough border force.
