Add a testing framework

Version 2.0 of the app no longer has tests! 😱 Add a framework, and start creating tests.

@mollyhenderson , do you have a framework in mind? Testing is something that I want to learn more about, so I'm not married to anything in particular. If left to my own devices I'll probably go with Jest.

Okay, so I've added Jest. Next question: do we need to go through the other configuration steps listed here , specifically the configs for Babel and TypeScript?

@wijohnst seems like we will need to add some support for TypeScript. Have you tried running any sample tests yet that have TypeScript code? If that works then we are fine but I'm guessing it will throw an error without the extra babel preset.
