Requesting permission to build and merge a github action to auto generate recipes for the server

The recipes have not been updated in 3 years and i suspect having to update the recipe dictionary every time Minecraft receives new items would be bothersome, so with permission I would like to make a python script to automatically generate the recipe dictionary when it changes.

To be completely honest with you nobody on the team has looked into the autocrafting system, we just know that it sucks and has many problems that people have complained about

However, I don't really see the point. CC-MISC is only made to run on whichever version the main server for computer craft players is at the moment (with all of the supported features of SC3.) which is currently on ReconnectedCraft, and it's still 1.20.

So perhaps a new file format to replace the bin files might work? Or just make an entirely new structure and update the server code for it?

Take recipes.json from here https://github.com/PrismarineJS/minecraft-data/blob/6dac6d16330ebc9e4326b0d52cb71fcfac9bbb9c/data/pc/1.20.2/recipes.json, and then use bfile.lua (the MISC format) and just write all of the grid_recipes.bin.

Furnace recipes are a bit more painful. I haven't cracked exactly where to get their definitions, but I'm pretty sure they're published somewhere aswell.

Actually thats kind of what i did, except im extracting recipes from the server jar and i rewrote parts of CC-MISC to use JSON, it works mostly from my minimal testing (havent had time to do some deep tests yet) and it just needs some extra logic for item aliases/wildcards.
