Hi, Great project, yes this is the solution we used to patch fonts on Mac OS X years ago with fontographer and the only reliable system wide solution.
Questions, in the OS where it uses Segoe UI and where the weight is typically Regular, can we patch and replace Regular weight with either Medium or SemiBold in the replacement font?
The font of choice here is ‘Artifakt Element’. It’s been tested with the font metrics method, visually, Medium or SemiBold works well, but when Regular is selected it’s too light/thin, it’s too hard to read, making it unsuitable. With Fontographer on the Mac years ago, I used to replace Lucida Grande Regular with Medium weight of Skia font and that worked well on that system (manually patching), so assume it’d also be okay with your app?
So in this case what are the instructions? Select the Primary System Font as Artifakt Element SemiBold?
Also there’s no screenshot for the size, so where SegoeUI is size 9 can we make that 10 with our replacement font?
