HTTP Process Request Failed

Hi,
I've tried integrating Buccaneer on the MinimalDefault 5.3 version of UE (i did have to recompile both plugins).

Both Buccaneer, Buccaneer4PixelStreaming and PixelStreaming are enabled.
I'm launching the .exe with only -BuccaneerURL="127.0.0.1:8000" as parameter for now.

When i'm looking at logs i see a failed HTTP request at 127.0.0.1:

While i try to browse 127.0.0.1/Stats

However the go Server it's sending partial data to Prometheus (that's on a different machine)

Seems to me that the server is not receiving HTTP request from the plugin.
My setup is:

A windows machine that contains both the recompiled plugin and the go server
A linux LXC that contains Prometheus and Grafana

Hey @Azokul,

Try launching with -BuccaneerURL="http://127.0.0.1:8000". This may be a docs issue.

After hard-coding it inside the plugin it worked like a charm :)
Just a ping, it would be cool as a standalone tool, having grafana data working on console would be top notch.

Hmm, I would expect Buccaneer to work on consoles. Do you mean to not have it as a UE plugin?

Nope i got it as plugin, both Buccaneer and Buccaneer4PixelStreaming (with Pixel Streaming enabled ofc).
For whatever reason it was failing to connect to 127.0.0.1, so i preferred to hard-code it by modifying the plugin (so i can have it working in editor for debug).

That being said, nice tool ^_^ Sadly i totally understand that as for now, it's not meant to be working with consoles.
I'd gladly still keep an eye on newer updates or project tho

Hmm, you raise a pretty good point about using it in editor.

I'll spin up an issue to convert the url argument to cvar so you can change it in editor.

Although PixelStreaming (and the subsequent Buccaneer4PixelStreaming) plugin doesn't work on consoles, I'd expect that the vanilla Buccaneer plugin should work. I don't have any consoles to test on, but I do have an Android tablet which may be analogous.

I think the only issue with using it on consoles is that you'd need your infrastructure to have a static IP (which may prove difficult if attempting to deploy at scale). But remote profiling during development is a pretty compelling use case.

I am looking to solve a similar issue. When starting up the Unreal Server it cannot seem to connect to the BuccaneerServer and will timeout and kill the server entirely after 7 attempts. I've verified /metrics functions within the golang server, stats throws the same ID error for me. I just hardcoded the URL in BuccaneerCommon.cpp
specifically modifying void FBuccaneerCommonModule::Setup() function.

Here's the snippet, it's nowhere near a good implementation but just a rough test funct.
