This is an issue that requests you to change the hue/colour of all selected objects: currently, if you select 5 items, then only the first one gets lighted properly. The ability for the colour change to apply to all selected by default would be a welcome addition and wouldn't have any negative side effects as far as I can see.

That's really useful! I was more referring to the tint option in TE, but this knowledge is very helpful. If you think that the tinting option when clicking O is redundant with the palette, you can close the issue.

Yes, "Edit object" window invoked with O hotkey was never meant for editing several selected objects. We may have another separate functionality for this purpose in the future.
