For anyone interested; I was able to programmatically obtainthe data from the PLANTS Database, pull all the .json files for each plant and normalize it into a compressed 17MB SQL Lite DB file.
I've created a front-end website that allows for the data to have a fast search, filtering by state, native status, family, genus, growth habits, and environmental tolerances. Run custom SQL queries for advanced analysis or use predefined filters. Export results to CSV or JSON instantly.
I'm hosting it for free and its open for anyone to use.
