Feature request: is it possible to generate this kind of chart?

This is not the proper place to ask a question, but... Do you know what's the name is this kind of chart? Looks pretty. Is it possible to generate it using matplotlib and ultraplot? Maybe add one in gallery? Thank you.

I think that is called a chord diagram. It is kinda related to the Sanky diagram #457. Would be cool to add it but currently we don't have that builtin.

Thank you. Excellent website. Knowing the char name, turns out there are already packages based on matplotlib: pyCirclize, and mpl_chord_diagram.

We can leave it open as I still like the idea of adding these kind of plots.
