We could not get videos_id check the streamer logs

I get this after the upload finishes and the encoding begins (I think). Temporarily, I have set the directory to chmod 777 but that doesn't help.

As an added note, when I click on "FFMPEG Monitor" a popup comes up and says "Failed to fetch process data." Don't know if that's related. When I do a health check, the only problem is "youtube-dl is NOT installed."

1. update the streamer and encoder with git pull
2. clean both logs
3. try again and share both logs

I am still not 100% what is causing that
I suspect there is some proxy or redirection on your side
could you please update the streamer and the encoder again
clear the logs
try again
if fails share both logs

OK. Pulls performed. Streamer and Encoder logs new (I stopped once I received the error "We could not get videos_id check the streamer logs" and saved them out). I temporarily have AVideo and AVideo-Stream directory permissions set to 0777 and owned by www-data:ww-data. I also included the Apache sites-available config files for the streamer and encoder (I renamed the config files with a txt extension so I can upload as GITHUB won't allow me to upload conf extensions).

Ubuntu 24.04, Apache 2.4.58, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.0.45, FFMPEG 6.1.1

I will attempt to create a new encoder virtual server in Apache with a new database and see if I can do any good or make some head way.

Not sure what charset you are using.

I am suspecting is something related to it.

Could you please update the streamer once more and check if that will work now?

Just curious what is the filename you are using, what language are you using?

The Encoder MySQL DB is using the charset utf8mb4_bin. The Stream is using utf8mb4_bin also.

I have tried several different video files.

Maybe some additional info might be helpful. I had both the streamer and encoder running on another computer for many months. I had not uploaded/encoded for several months though. I just upgraded my computer hardware and moved the streamer, with it's database and files to the new computer. The Streamer works just as it did before. However, I never could port the encoder over. I GITed a new AVideo-Encoder and tried to connect it to the imported database, but the browser would never connect (or just left a white screen). I then wiped the encoder off of the new machine and reGITed the encoder to it and created a blank DB for it. However, the setup through the browser would never write to the blank encoder DB. So I then wiped the encoder off of the new machine and copied all of the encoder files from the old computer to the new computer and imported the encoder DB from the old. The encoder app appeared to work through the browser but then I got the error. Since I hadn't tried an upload/encode on the old machine in a long time, I don't know if it was/would generate the error, but it was working last fall.

I have a bunch of files uploaded on the streamer. I'd hate to have to ditch it and reupload them all (basically about 1TB of home movies, some from church and the like).

The new encoder gave the same error.

However, I found something else that may help shed some light. When I try to change the first screen on the streamer, from the admin panel/first page style, the streamer just sits there with the browser screen spinning. It doesn't write anything to the log file though.

I'm wondering if I have a DB issue. Would you like for me to remove the Streamer and Encoder DB's along with their associated users and permissions (after I make a backup of course). I don't want to make changes on my end while your trying to figure it out as this may confuse things.

When I created the DB on the old machine a long time ago, I don't recall what charset I created on the old machine (maybe I didn't select one). I certainly created it with the utf8mb4_bin on the new one.

I did a MYSQLdump from the old machine at the command line and imported into the new machine from the command line also.
