wcm overwrites existing config file

if wcm is going to overwrite the existing config file, can it save a backup copy first before it does?

i usually leave commented out lines as a future reference and wcm will remove them all.

once again i was changing some panel options in wcm and it erased all my command-output properties as well as all my commented out lines.

why does wcm need to overwrite configs? i think im going to uninstall it.

I can relate, this happened to me as well, and I ended up with broken command-output.

wcm uses libwf-config API to read and write config options. One could argue that this is a wf-config issue and not wcm, because that's where I imagine the problem could be addressed.
