With the silicon crisis the supply dried up, but it is back.
I might have another round of testing some day.
Looking back, it seems some of the chips I've looked at back then are gone, and new have come.
For one thing, my opinion that GigaDevice seemed a reliable replacement, it seems, they've been available most of the time.
ApexMic, now called Geehy, is still around as well.
