Add light/dark mode option for users to switch between

Look into adding a way for users to change whether they view the website in light mode or dark mode, in addition to system settings already in use.

1. Should the header and footer also be updated? The footer background color is fixed to the dark blue
2. Where should the toggle be placed and what should it look like?
3. Should users have an option to go back to the system?

I’d say do what we do now, which is change the header, but leave the footer as is (it’s basically already a dark mode color).

Where should the toggle be placed and what should it look like?

Rachael had stated she would like it either in the footer or on an accessibility settings page of some type. However, after talking with her, neither one of us are sure it works there.

Can you try a version which is to the right of the donate button (instead of the left) and is just the icons (no text)?
