Use of Atmel ATSAMD21G18 instead of Atmega MCU

Hi,

Thanks a lot for sharing this project. The VU meter is simply stunning to look at. Have managed to successfully build one with the use of an Arduino Uno. I however have another project that I am working on and would like to integrate the VU meter, unfortunately I need to use Atmel ATSAMD21G18 instead of Atmega328 MCU. Is it possible to use the Atmel MCU for the vu-meter project? If yes, what would I need to update in the Makefile?
