Parallel reduction on higher-dimensional grids need a wrapper function.

The aggregation of values in a grid, e.g. by summing them up, is a frequently used operation. However, expressing this in the current API is cumbersome and requires several lambdas to be specified.

A wrapper enabling a briefer syntax would be required.
