Job timeout

Hi

Is there some type of job timeout on forms. I have a task that copies an image from an ftp server. The Ansible task itself has a long timeout. When running in forms during the long running task the status button area goes to abandoned and stops showing progress. If I go into jobs it shows that it did complete eventually so it is more like the form stopped watching the job but the jobs module kept track of it.

Also looking more at this I believe it has more to do with the task after the FTP transfer which is to apply the boot image and restart the device. I think when the restart happens Forms loses track of the session but the play continues to happen afterwards which is to watch for the device to come back online and verify the install

no, i built in a timer that abandons all jobs after an hour.

yes. correct. after an hour i guess i check and abandon the job watch. but the launch itself i leave. you could call it "by design". do you disagree?

It must be triggered by something else as well. The task ran for maybe 10 minutes then went abandoned

Abandoning happens only on app restart and after an hour. but i don’t kill the task. check the logs. something must have triggered an app restart. you should see abandoning x jobs

Meanwhile a bug was fixed... there was indeed a bad abandon-handling
