Question about example prompts in sales/skills/account-research/SKILL.md

I was reviewing the account-research skill and noticed some of the example prompts explicitly mention specific companies, e.g.:

• “Research Stripe”
• “Look up the CTO at Notion”
• “Intel on acme.com”
• “Who is Sarah Chen at TechCorp?”
• “Tell me about [company] before my call”

Two of these call out Stripe and Notion by name. Could you clarify:

1. Why Stripe and Notion were chosen as example companies?
2. Are these meant to be placeholders, and if so should the documentation make that clearer?
3. Is there any guidance around using real company names versus placeholders in these skills?

Hey! I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can. (Although the author would know best about what they wrote)

• I think Stripe and Notion were chosen as example companies because of their popularity. They are very well known companies in tech. So naming them makes the example prompts more realistic. The user knows (probably) what kind of query is expected.

• So for the examples prompt, they use a mix of real names, fictional names and placeholders. This is no consistency throughout the repo. I assume this is because every skill has a different author. And yes this can be very confusing to readers (are these prompts actually tested or just illustrative?). So yes the docs can be clearer (I'm working on it). Also I couldnt find a consistent style guide, so thats another problem. (based on what I've read so far)

• I cant really answer this because im not done reading everything, but so far I havent seen any guidance. but generally placeholders are safer for documentation. I'll let you know if I find anything else.

also I found an instance where it specifically mentions David Tibbitts (sales/skills/draft-outreach/SKILL.MD), which might be a little problamatic lol.

I agree that using well-known companies like Stripe and Notion makes the examples feel more realistic and helps readers quickly understand the intent of the prompt. That rationale tracks.

Good catch on the David Tibbitts mention — that feels like a stronger case where a real individual might be unintentionally implied as a test target, which could be problematic.

Also if ur planning on using these skills, make sure the read the files first, because there are a lot of typos which can possibly lead to some problems.

For example I found, 3 MCP server whose links are invalid (typos in the link). Im not sure what the impact of these typos are but it seems problamatic.
