AppExtension getting disabled on a regular basis on IOS 26.4

Dear team,

My LiveCaller app has been working fine for a few months, recently, the app extension is being disabled by iOS on a regular basis, user is re-enabling it but it get disabled again few hours after.

I could not find any doc nor bad behavior log nor explanation about why the app extension is getting switched off by system.

Hey! Same here. According to the docs, custom paths are deprecated and only subdomains are supported since 26.4. I found this error in Console.app: CipherML.CipherMLError.unsupportedNetworkURL(url: https://xxx.com/yyy).
So If you’re using this path-based approach, you need to switch to subdomain-based URLs.

We actually learned about this only after the feature broke for users on iOS 26.4.

Our integration has been in place for a long time, so we weren’t actively monitoring the onboarding documentation and didn’t notice this change in advance. As a result, we only discovered it during a live outage.

It would be very helpful if breaking changes like this were communicated proactively (for example, via email to developers using Live Caller ID Lookup), so teams can prepare ahead of time and avoid impacting users.
