When I do

pip install BSEStockQuotes I get :

Collecting BSEStockQuotes
  Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement BSEStockQuotes (from versions: )
No matching distribution found for BSEStockQuotes

Am I missing something very simple here?

I think you should do pip install bsedata instead
