Currently the session info window mostly stays empty when running regular R code. I think it would be nice if it would show something along the lines of:

• the machine you are connected to
• what cell is currently running and when it was submitted
• what cells are scheduled to run
• the user can send its own content to the session window for tracking purposes

We agree but we're not sure where to put this in the UI. The session info pane is really just a log for stdout/stderr/etc.

For adding your own messages to the session pane, you can use rcloud.session.log
