About glGetBufferPointervOES

Hi,

I m new to OpenGL programing and I begin with reading tutorial of Ray Wenderlich. Fortunately i found this repo, which helps a lot. And I've got a question about the

glGetBufferPointervOES

in the rendering function

fund render()

I could not even find out how to use this by google. And the home page of OpenGL does not mention this. Could you plz give me a link or something that describe this API?
