Description
Since I can't get a dev enviroment set up for this, here's some changes you should make:
- Only show health bars on units with less than 100% HP
- Heal 25% of total HP inbetween rounds on damaged units
- Add a way to buy back dead soldiers. Maybe it should be inital cost of soldier + kills * 100 + level * 100?
- Visible indicators of new turns and whose turn it is currently.
Bigger things:
- Some kind of way to save progress and come back at a later date.
- Visible pathfinding when moving units.
- Have the AI "show" what it is doing (Think Final Fantasy Tactics AI view)
- One use items you can buy with gold such as potions or ability resets.
- Smaller UI in general on tablets. You're using up way too much space with some of the UI elements.
- Unified art style
- Equipment for soldiers to buff stats, makes you care more about losing a character.
- Optimize AI, it takes too long for what it's trying to accomplish.
- Bigger maps. Solve size problems by allowing us to drag around the map with touch controls and zoom in/out
Big thing that'd be nice for longer games:
- Have a 6 unit active duty party like normal but have a barracks you can store other troops in as a bench. If your priest gets banged up in battle, bench him and hire a replacement, then pull him back in a few battles later when he's fully healed and bench the replacement for the time being.
- Option to sell off party and barracks members for gold individually, Or add option to sell off entire adventuring group for money equal to their worth for extra gold in the next game you start.
