Service Accuracy - Parent Stations

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I want to know:

• Rail facilities should be mapped as parent stations with individual platforms
• Major Transit Centers should be mapped as parent stations with individual bays

Describe the solution you'd like

• Create a geojson of all the Major transit centers across the state
• Also for every rail station
• See for an agency if an individual stops near this station are organized with at least one having a parent station, others being individual bays

Any interest in broadening this to include entrances/exits, too? I've been talking to HCD about the best way to buffer rail station major transit stops and buffering from rail station entrances instead of/in addition to single stop locations is something we're interested in.

Seems related to platforms since they're both indicated by stops.txt location_type https://gtfs.org/documentation/schedule/reference/#stopstxt and pathways.txt

Not sure about location_type, might be worth doing. Will investigate during the ticket.

So MTC 511 adds in pathways for individual agencies.

This could be interesting for analysis. But when we do reports, we don't re-break out the regional feed to individual agencies and then make reports. Not yet anyways.

This also makes me wonder if I need to evaluate all the mtc 511 agencies separately in this fashion.

So i'm going to say maybe? Or some?

After discussion with @edasmalchi , we won't proceed on entrances / exits. I think it'd be very difficult to know which stations need to mark their entrances or exits with stops.
