How to get the value of Month and Year. if i click Next or Previous button

I want to show the value of the Month and Year if i click the Next(>) or Previous(<) button in an alert which is displayed in calendar screen.

In the above image. i have to display the current month&year(i.e sep - 2017) in an alert.how to get the value.can any one suggest me how to get the value.Thanks in Advance
