Script to update both LXC OS and applications?

I was trying to create a script that we can run thru node to update all LXC OS and applications using the built in command update but update command requires an manual intervention.
Is there a parameter to provide to update command like update --silent to not ask for manual intervention?
Other's ideas of script will be welcomed.
