May I ask which version of JDK is being used with Thumbnailator? I encountered a bug in the built-in ImageIO when using Thumbnailator to read GIF images. To my knowledge, this is a problem with JDK 8 and below versions

@qiyuxiao248, Thumbnailator is built using JDK 5 (as seen here), in order to be compatible with Java 5 and up.

However, when Thumbnailator is running, it uses the Image I/O plugins that are dynamically loaded as part of the JRE in which Thumbnailator is running in (using SPI). Therefore, any observed behavior depends on the JRE it runs on.

That said, Thumbnailator incorporates some workarounds (or has tweaks) that may bring up behavior that seems like bugs.
