Github pages Path "/", Display of Liquid coding

Der Pfad "/" bezieht sich auf https://username.github.io und nicht auf https://username.github.io/repository-name. Deshalb läuft er ins Leere, wenn ich Ihr Repository in eins von mir klone.

Das gleiche Problem habe ich mit https://jekyllrb.com/docs/step-by-step/06-data-files/ ...

... deshalb Modifikation von https://jekyllrb.com/docs/step-by-step/06-data-files/ nach Anlage von _data/nav.yml:
Meine _include/_nav.html lautet also

{% for item in site.data.nav %} 
    PageURL: {{page.url}}, ItemLink: {{item.link}}
    <a href="{{ "/REPOSITORYNAME" |append: item.link }}" {% if page.url == item.link %}style="color: red;"{% endif %}>
      {{ item.name }}
    </a>
{% endfor %}

Github support was very quick in providing these solutions:

1. You can use the {% raw %} and {% endraw %} tags to disable Jekyll processing for whatever is between them. This will allow you to display Liquid code.

2. If you set the following in _config.yml you should no longer have to individually change the paths:

baseurl: "/repository-name" 
url: "https://username.github.io"

or  

baseurl: "" 
url: "https://username.github.io/repository-name" 

Noch immer muss ich die Liquid-Skripte _includes/_nav.html bzw. blog.html aber wie folgt anpassen:

    PageURL: {{page.url}}, ItemLink: {{item.link}}
    <a href="{{ "site.baseurl |append: item.link }}" {% if page.url == item.link %}style="color: red;"{% endif %}>
      {{ item.name }}
    </a>

Hallo Herr Betz,

vielen Dank für die Hinweise. Der / im Nav ist zwar unflexibel, wie sie bemerkt haben, aber ich wollte das Beispiel im Artikel nicht unnötig verkomplizieren.

Die falsche Klassenangabe für .nav habe ich eben korrigiert.

Ich habe das Bauen aus der gh-pages branch eben nochmal getestet und es hat problemlos funktioniert.

ich weiss jetzt, wo mein Missverständnis liegt: ich dachte, jeder Branch den ich anlege, wird mir unter Settings-GithubPages-Source zum Build angeboten. Offenbar ist das aber nur der Fall für einen zweiten Branch mit dem expliziten Namen "gh-pages" ...
