target is not a good solution according to the link you've provided. Is someone making a PR?

The error is coming from line 229, I think:

...})(typeof define === 'function' && define.amd ? define : function (factory) { module.exports = factory(require); });

Any idea how to fix this behavior ? Our app can't build in production because of this. Changing target in tsconfig doesn't do the trick.
