Login hanging when trying to use GitHub authentication

I'm on Windows 11 and running the commands through WSL (Ubuntu terminal) in VSCode. When I try GitHub login it does not open a browser window. When I try Google login it provides a Google authentication URL but does not resolve in the terminal after authentication. Login command also throwing the following error.
