NetworkDriver.CreateNetwork: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

After upgrading to docker-ce 25.0 (and its equivalent containerd versions), my docker compose commands are failing to create a network which uses devplayer0/net-dhcp driver with a bridge interface. It worked perfectly fine till docker-ce 24.0.7.

The error I am getting is:

failed to create network nw-07: Error response from daemon: NetworkDriver.CreateNetwork: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

Here is the compose section

Any idea on what this issue could be?
Till now, I had set an apt-mark on the working versions, but now it is unavoidable since I had to upgrade my Ubuntu to 24.04 which forced me to upgrade the docker packages. Ubuntu 24.04 does not support the old working versions of docker.
