I'm having trouble compiling.

This issue is not prescriptive enough to act on anything. There is some existing work to fix compile issues on newer versions of C (#30, #31, #32) and ship the Fedora Linux package. There is a RPM spec file available in the Fedora package that shows how Fedora compiles and packages the source code.

Closing this as invalid because there is nothing more to do here right now.
